Project Aurora - Exhibit V

The Luminarium & The Cosmosys Collective and others joined forces to invite you to a trip and boost your imagination and inspiration! Members of the various artgroups sat down and decided to do a crossover artgroup… which by now should be seen as a fully formed standalone group. Represented is art created with all kinds of techniques within all kinds of fields. Again a ‘healthy variety’… how I would call it. We also got some new members which is even cooler! I’m included with three pieces. The exhibit has the extension GREEN. At first I was worried that Green isn’t exactly my colour. I soon found out that it wasn’t a big deal at all. So the artworks have a main overall colour theme going on. Still, overall the exhibit can be considered freestyle. We’ve got some great results and so I want to thank everyone involved and especially the people who did the organisational stuff in the background!

Go check it out and sharing is caring!

Sabrina Photoshoot #2

June last year I had the opportunity to collect first experience photoshooting a model. I learned quite a bit, we both had a good time and together we decided to give it another shot in early September 2017. I really wanted to play with her amazing red hair and some neat golden hour, natural evening light. Right before the sun disappears. It was quite tricky catching the right day but we got it. I also managed to lend me a neat Canon 200mm L lens from a buddy. Again we had nice time and managed to get some really nice shots that evening. I certainly tried to use the experience I gathered from our first shoot and in my humble opinion it does show.

Sabrina Summer Shoot #1

I wanted to try myself on more serious Photography for a long while now and finally mustered up the courage to challenge myself this year. I contacted that lady in the pics up there, told her I’m a total noob and that I would love to try it. I found her on a model page on Facebook. Fortunately she was very open and had no problem working with a beginner. Well, I certainly knew/know how to work with a camera but haven’t tried it in a ‘Photoshoot’ context before. She was able to give me some valuable advice and together we managed to get some neat results! I’m quite happy with how the pics turned out. Is there room for improvement? Sure, there always is. But for a first run we both were happy enough I think. Not just a productive shoot but also one of these pretty much perfect sunny summer days you love to remember and keep in your memories.

Berlin 2011

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

A few days ago I visited an old and good friend in Berlin. The moring I was to depart I found out that the same weekend Berlin had its ‘Festival Of Lights’. Which basically means that all the sightseeing hotspots look a little different than usual. Normally we would go out with some other friends and do something pointless but ALL of the other guys where not in town. Of course. My friend and I however took the time to hunt the lights and go up the Reichstag. The architecture up there is pretty fascinating. Only the glass could have been a bit cleaner. So yeah, ultimately a fun time. The ‘Festival…’ was a little underwhelming and could also need a little improvement. Yes there are 2-3 spots where it all really captures your eye… but hey, other cities do that sort of thing every weekend. Berlin nonetheless is always a refreshing experience. Especially at night the city brings out some interesting creatures. Anyway… had a good time there.

HEIMAT DER SEELEN

Heimat der Seelen – Home of Spirits

Actually this is no new picture. It took me a while to find the right title for it because i wanted it to be part of my ‘Heimat’ series. I also invested a bit more time into it to get the best off of it. Therefore this turned out to be more a manipulation or digitally darkroomed instead of a standalone photo. However – i think i got some beautiful color harmonies into it. I don’t even know anymore how exactly i made the photos for this one. I only know that it’s several shots combined and blended together. I dig it… hope you too!

That said… i hope you guys enjoy the Wallpaper Pack. 1680×1050 & 1920×1200 and more versions of the scene. Have fun with it!

After a longer period of quietness due to sickness and business it’s time to add a few new things to the site! Here i used a heavier HDR technique than in my previous macros. This gave it that nice soft look and of course the beautiful colors!

And another try with HDR and my macro series. This time i really dig the focus that came out rather cool here. Hope you dig it as much as i do!
