Mark Lovett Album Cover
Monday, January 12th, 2009Mark Lovett, from UK, asked me to create a nice and slick cover for his musical endeavours. His concept was really appealing and something that fits right to my style. So i had this project done pretty fast. I really dig the outcome and hope it’ll help Mark to get the recognition he’s hoping for.
The pic itself started as a Vue render. After laying out the overall composition i moved into photoshop to refine the overall detail. Added painted elements and some good looking textures. Last but not least lighting fixes and a wonderful atmosphere. For the backside of the cover i basically took the front cover and manipulated it to make it look like we’re having the same peaceful scenery in a different daytime scenario/mood.
This project was fun! Oh and before you start to wonder… the song titles on the back cover are placeholders and from me. =)

X-MAS 2008 Wallpaper Pack (Update)
Wednesday, December 24th, 2008It’s christmas time! I really hope you enjoy the days and have some fun! 2007 i created a deviantart.com journal css design, with help of a friend, for you folks. This year, because of all the requests for hi-res wallpapers, i created a nice collection of 1920x1200s for you! Some of you might know that i look at these hi-res things very critical/sketical. It just offers more chances for rippers to get quality material. So this PACK will only be available a LIMITED TIME!!! I don’t know for how long i will leave it online… but at least two weeks. So get it as long as it’s fresh and tasty!!! =) Enjoy it!
Merry Christmas Ladies and Gentlemen. Thanks for the support this year!
Regards
UPDATE JAN. 16th: Alright – time is up. Hope everyone who got the pack enjoys the 1920 wallpapers! =)

News & Concept Art Update #2
Monday, December 1st, 2008
Over the last few days i updated the concept art gallery with a few more ship designs. As you might be able to see, there is a constant rise in quality. I think i’m getting better with this new technique. Further i have planned to collect all the designs to create a large poster with them. It will take some time before i can do that since i’m still collecting designs. I want it to contain some really cool and inspiring concept arts.
There is more stuff ahead the next few days. I finished a rather nice painting yesterday and have another project ready for submission. Still need to prepare the files. I’m kinda lazy this evening. =D Stay tuned nonetheless. I bet it’ll give some nice new wallpapers of strange alien environments soon. :)

X-Mas Preparations!
Thursday, November 27th, 2008It’s this time of the year again! Time flies by, i tell ya. Back to the cold and hard business! If you’re still on the run for christmas presents (like me) then you might find a look into my shops interesting! Beside the usual poster prints there can be found a variety of things. From mouse pads to puzzles to postcards and even ceramic mugs! Madatory are high quality prints of my paintings in several standard sizes and different sorts of paper up to canvas and fine art materials. Pretty cool stuff!
DeviantPrints Shop.
These things can be found in my deviantart.com shop – to be sure getting stuff in time place your order before the 15th of december! For customers from other countries than the U.S. – the earlier you order the better!
This shop contains the most articles i currently offer. Unfortunately no big alternatives for the european community.
Augensound Kunstshop.
An alternative for german customers.
Tigaer-Design Printshop.
A third alternative is my own shop. But i would not recommend that if you need to get your stuff fast. It usually takes me up to 2 weeks until i can ship an order. Nonetheless… info can be found here.
Shop Summary:
Worldwide Customers – preferred shop
German Customers – augensound shop
Tigaer-Design Shop – not recommended if you need your order better yesterday than tomorrow.
Concept Art Update
Saturday, November 15th, 2008After some quiet time in my tiny concept art gallery i managed to get a few designs for it. I never was a big concept artist so far. At least not a rather quick one… not to mention vehicular design. Recently i managed to acquire a technique that will help me significantly when it comes to vehicular design. All the added sketches were done last week. As you can see it’s mostly spacecraft design. What can i say… i’m a sci-fi guy. I’ll definitely continue with this technique and see what ideas my mind can spawn with it. It’s a nice training and easy to continue with. And i surely need training when it comes to that specific matter. My hopes are to add some more cool stuff to the concept art gallery here, that may inspire you folks too.

Advanced Photoshop Magazine UK
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008After a small feature in the german edition of the advanced photoshop magazine i got invited to the uk version, with having a picture on the cover of their celebrated 50th issue of the magazine. A congratiulation to the makers of the magazine and a big thank you for the invitation! It’s quite a nice feeling to have your artwork on a cover of a professional magazine. Even if it’s only filling a small part of the cover. A brilliant idea, well executed. I enjoy it and hope the readers enjoy this great cover as well. :)
Beside that i want to say there were not much submissions to the site lately, but i promise to upload some new stuff soon. I have a finished painting, another addition to the comcept series, and another big one almost done. The first one is sci-fi’ish, techy and the second one more landscape based because it’s the result of an extensive vue render test i did a few weeks ago. I’ve also tried myself a bit in vehicular design. Spaceships, fighters and stuff. =) Finally learned a technique that really helps me with stuff like that. These will find their way into the concept art gallery hopefully sooner than later.
Oh and by the way, the picture featured on the cover is named HELL, and can be found here.
New stuff ahead! Stay tuned! Thank you very much.

Flipshake Beta Invites Here!
Friday, October 24th, 2008Normally i don’t write about stuff like this but this time i have to. A few days ago i got invited to join a new gfx community. Another one… – As usual i was pretty skeptical about it. Nonetheless i took a look and kind of liked the concept with which they’re approaching the whole gfx community thing. It’s about ‘collecting’ art. Much like trading cards. People there can upload their art to create so-called ‘flips’. Those have a front and back side. (Which gives some interesting creative possibilities i think) All flips are 1:1, (800×800 for example) can be switched between front and back side and can be zoomed in for details. Once you created a flip it will go into the galleries where it can be collected. Every flip has a certain quantity. Means, can only be collected a certain amount of times. So when there’s a kick ass pic… you better be fast having it in your collection! ‘Favs – extended edition’ like i would call it. I dig that concept!!! The site is still beta. That’s why i’m still skeptical about where it will go. But from what i saw it’s growing and i really hope the concept works out for them. It’s a whole new approach on the matter. That must be rewarded!
So far you can apply for a beta membership. I, for my part, have some invites i can spare.
So check out the site and read what it’s all about. Mail me if you’re interested and i’ll have an invite waiting for you.
Regards
