GENESIS

D³SCR!PTION

this is a picture i had in mind quite a time now. like gleisshammer i got the idea almost a year ago. a pure sea scenery with wonderful warm colors. a picture you can look at with a wish to be there. the feel the sun on your skin and the soft winds striding through your hairs.

TECHN!CAL DETA!LS

the basic pic i used here was rendered 3 times. everytime with different settings. i blended them in photoshop and deleted all stuff i didn’t need for the actual pic. since all is water it damn took a while to get the pics rendered. in photoshop i added fog, sunbeams and stars for the sky. also some clouds that i laid over to creat a more intense feeling of depth. you’ll notice that, where the sun is set over the horizon, we have a straight line. right in the middle of the haze – that’s actually because the suns heat paved a way through the atmosphere and vaporized the fog/haze in that area. that gives a ‘gate’ like look i really like in this piece. in the end it’s a simple piece that focus lies on colors and composition…

NOT MEANT TO LOOK LIKE A REALITY SIMULATION – IT’s FANTASY!
